State-owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), formerly known as Anambra State University (ANSU), is situated in Uli, Anambra State, Nigeria. In memory of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, a significant figure in Nigerian history and the leader of the breakaway state of Biafra, the institution was renamed.
