The Federal University, Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) is set to hold its first-ever Convocation Ceremonies from October 9 to 12, 2024. This landmark event will celebrate graduates from 2017 to 2022, marking a significant milestone for the institution and its academic community.

Convocation Ceremony Schedule

The event will span four days and include various activities:

  • Wednesday, 9th October 2024
    • Vice Chancellor’s Press Conference
      • Venue: Council Chamber
      • Time: 11:00 am
  • Thursday, 10th October 2024
    • Student’s Debate
      • Venue: ICAN Lecture Theatre
      • Time: 10:00 am
    • Novelty Football Match
      • Venue: University Sports Complex
      • Time: 4:00 pm
  • Friday, 11th October 2024
    • Pre-Convocation Lecture by Sen. Hope Uzodinma
      • Venue: SLH 2 Lecture Theatre
      • Time: 10:00 am
    • Chancellor’s Dinner
      • Venue: Presidential Lodge
      • Time: 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, 12th October 2024
    • Convocation Ceremony (Award of Degrees, Honorary Degrees, Induction of Graduands)
      • Venue: Frontage of Senate Building
      • Time: 10:00 am

Important Guidelines for Graduands

Graduates must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Fees: ₦3,000 for the Academic Gown; an additional ₦10,000 for the Order of Proceedings.
  • Gown Collection: Available from Faculty Officers between October 7 and 11, 2024.
  • Attendance: Graduands should be seated at the Convocation Arena by 9:00 am on October 12. Late entry will not be permitted.
  • Gown Return: Gowns must be returned between October 14 and 22, 2024, along with a signed Clearance Form for certificate collection.

Payment Instructions

To make payments:

  1. Visit the FUBK Payment Portal.
  2. Select “Pay for graduation gown and/or order of proceedings.”
  3. Enter your admission number and confirm your details.
  4. Generate a Remita Invoice and complete the payment.
  5. Print the payment receipt as proof.

  • All vehicles will undergo security checks and designated parking areas will be available.
