Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed Arc. Dr. Babatunde Adekoyejo Jolaoso as the 10th substantive Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta. His tenure begins on Friday, December 6, 2024, following the expiration of Dr. Adeoye Odedeji’s term on December 5, 2024.

Governor’s Approval

The appointment was confirmed in a letter dated December 3, 2024, with reference MOEST/HSC.1/9, signed by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu. The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Emeritus Prof. Kamaldeen Balogun, who expressed gratitude to the Governor for his commitment to the institution.

  • Promoted to Chief Lecturer in the Department of Architecture in 2015.

  • National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture, Ogun State Polytechnic (now MAPOLY).
  • B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Architecture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
  • Ph.D. in Architecture, Federal University of Technology, Akure.

  • Registered Architect and Fellow of several prestigious organizations, including the Association of Nigerian Chartered Architects and the Institute of Management Specialists (UK).
