The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Edo State, has announced the availability of the supplementary admission form for the Institute of Health Sciences and Technology (IHST) for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Available Courses and Duration
- Health Information Management: National Diploma (ND) – 2 years, Higher National Diploma (HND) – 2 years
- Environmental Health Technology: ND – 2 years, HND – 2 years
- Ortho Cast Technology: ND – 2 years
- Dispensing Optics: ND – 2 years
- Biomedical Engineering Technology: ND – 2 years, HND – 2 years
Entry Qualifications
- Minimum of five credit passes in WASSCE, NECO, or GCE O/L (not more than two sittings), including:
- English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
- NABTEB results are also accepted.
- Additional Considerations:
- For Environmental Health Technology, Health Science may replace Biology.
- For Biomedical Engineering Technology, a pass in Woodwork, Auto Mechanics, Basic Electricity, Technical Drawing, or Fine Art is advantageous.
Method of Application
- Application forms are available online through the official IHST UBTH website.
- Admission exams will be conducted using a computer-based test (CBT) system.

- ND applicants must have participated in the 2024 UTME (JAMB) and secured a minimum score of 150.
