History and Growth
Nile University opened its doors in 2009 with three faculties—Natural & Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Arts & Social Sciences—and an initial enrollment of 93 students. Over the years, the university has expanded significantly. In July 2020, Nile University joined Honoris United Universities, a network supported by Actis Capital, which includes institutions across Africa, marking its entry into West Africa.
In March 2021, Nile University collaborated with Nigeria’s Ministry of Science and Technology to produce a COVID-19 vaccine, showcasing its commitment to innovation and research.
