Established in Oyo State, Nigeria, Ajayi Crowther University, as well as ACU, is a private, faith-driven university. Ajayi Crowther University began as a CMS training institution in Abeokuta in 1853. In 1920, it moved from Lagos to Oyo. The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, the Anglican Church in Nigeria, is its owner.
