About the EU Traineeship Program

This EU-funded traineeship gives young professionals the chance to work within the Political, Press and Information (PPI) Section of the EU Delegation to the AU. Another section, Green and Digital Economy, focuses on key development areas like:

  • Agriculture & Climate Action
  • Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency
  • Digital Innovation & Circular Economy
  • Youth Employment & MSME Support
  • Investment Strategies

Through this experience, participants will better understand how EU policies are shaped and implemented in Africa, especially within the African Union framework.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Currently reside in Ethiopia
  • Hold a Master’s degree in political science, international relations, economics, law, or related fields
  • Have no more than 1 year of work experience
  • Be fluent in English
  • Possess strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
  • Show genuine interest in AU politics, governance, and development issues
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute
