Warner Bros. has unveiled new images from Mortal Kombat 2, offering fans their first official look at Adeline Rudolph as Kitana and Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn. These characters are among several new additions to the highly anticipated sequel, set to hit theaters on October 24, 2025.
Kitana’s Official Look in Mortal Kombat 2

In the newly released image, Kitana’s design closely resembles her Mortal Kombat 11 appearance but features silver accents. While her iconic steel fans will be part of the film, her signature face mask is absent, though it may still make an appearance later in the movie.
Shao Kahn’s Terrifying Transformation

The image of Shao Kahn focuses primarily on his upper body, revealing a more menacing take on the character. Unlike the traditional open-jaw helmet from the games, his movie counterpart features a fully enclosed mask with glowing red eyes, adding to his intimidating presence.
Johnny Cage Joins the Fight

Alongside these reveals, Warner Bros. also released another image showcasing Karl Urban as Johnny Cage. He appears alongside Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Jax (Mehcad Brooks), and Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee)—but noticeably, Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is missing from the shot, sparking speculation about his role in the sequel.
What’s Next for Mortal Kombat 2?
With the release date approaching, fans are eagerly awaiting a teaser trailer to accompany these new images. The marketing campaign for the film has yet to kick into full gear, but these first-look images suggest that more exciting reveals are on the way.
Stay tuned for more updates as Mortal Kombat 2 prepares for its theatrical debut on October 24, 2025.
