Bowen University is a private Baptist Christian university located in Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria. The Nigerian Baptist Convention established the university on July 17, 2001, on the formerly 1,300-acre (6 km2) Baptist College location. The National Universities Commission (NUC) granted the university an operating license after the Federal Government of Nigeria approved its founding.
