American University of Nigeria Situated in Yola, the city of Adamawa, Nigeria, is a private university titled the American University of Nigeria (AUN). It offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional liberal arts higher education in the American style. Accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), AUN is the first “development university” in Africa, having been founded in 2003. There are currently 93 teaching professionals on staff, and 1500 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled.
The university had the goal of emphasizing issues of development while offering instruction centered around one of the most effective educational and vulnerable practices in the United States. The Arts & Sciences, Business & Entrepreneurship, and IT & Computing were the three founding member schools. The American University of Nigeria (AUN) is the new name of the university, which was originally established in 2007. 2009 saw the graduation of the 92-student pioneer class. Since then, every class has graduated on time.
