Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MasterCard Scholarship at Makerere University, applicants must:
✔ Be admitted to Makerere University’s main campus
✔ Have completed Advanced Level (A-Level) education in an African country (for undergraduate applicants)
✔ Have completed a Bachelor’s degree in an African country (for Master’s applicants)
✔ Show leadership potential and a record of community service
✔ Not be a recipient of any other scholarship
✔ Not exceed 28 years (Undergraduate) or 35 years (Master’s) at the time of application
✔ Refugees and students with disabilities must not exceed 32 years (Undergraduate) or 40 years (Master’s)

✅ Copy of National ID/Passport
✅ Certified copies of academic transcripts (A-Level, O-Level, or Bachelor’s degree for Master’s)
✅ Motivation Statement (500 words for Master’s applicants)
✅ Hand-drawn map with clear directions to the applicant’s residence
