• Be under 35 years old by the application deadline (or under 40 for refugees and persons with disabilities)
• Not be currently enrolled in or have completed another master’s degree
• Not be a recipient of another scholarship
• Demonstrate leadership potential and community service involvement
• If applying as a refugee, possess a Refugee ID card or Family Attestation document

Applicants must apply for one of the master’s degrees listed under the Mastercard Foundation programme at Makerere University.
