The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University (ASU) is now open for applications. This scholarship provides African students with the opportunity to pursue online graduate degrees while receiving in-person support in Rwanda. Apply for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU 2025
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at ASU will offer 160 graduate scholarships between 2025 and 2030. Selected scholars will complete their online degrees while receiving in-person academic and career guidance through Kepler College in Rwanda.

For fall 2025, 40 scholars will be selected for the following online master’s programmes:

- MS Global Technology and Development
W.P. Carey School of Business
- MS Business Analytics
Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation
- MEd Learning Design and Technologies
Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering
- MS Information Technology
- MSE Sustainable Engineering
Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition coverage for the two-year programme.
- On-campus accommodation during required in-person sessions.
- Individual mentorship and leadership development.
- Two-month summer intensive at ASU (USA) between the first and second year.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must:
- Meet academic and English language requirements.
- Be an African citizen committed to ethical leadership and community engagement.
- Be 18 to 33 years old.
- Have completed an undergraduate degree by July 2025.
- Have no prior graduate degree started or completed before August 2025.
- Be willing to reside in Kigali, Rwanda for the programme duration.
