The Heirs Oil and Gas University Scholarship (also known as the Heirs of Tomorrow University Scholarship) is an annual ₦200,000 financial aid program designed to support academically talented but underprivileged students from the OML 17 host communities in Nigeria.

This initiative, powered by Heirs Energies in collaboration with its Host Community Development Trust (HCDT), ensures that deserving students get access to quality tertiary education without financial barriers.

The HOTSS 2025 is a flagship educational initiative by Heirs Oil and Gas Company Limited, created to:

• Empower students from host communities.
• Promote equitable access to university education.
• Invest in the long-term development of the OML 17 region.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the 2025 Heirs Oil and Gas University Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a Nigerian citizen and an indigene of any OML 17 Host Community.
• Be enrolled full-time in a federal or state-owned Nigerian university.
• Have at least five O’Level credits (including English and Mathematics) in one sitting (WAEC/SSCE/NECO).
• Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (on 5.0 scale) or 2.5 (on 4.0 scale) annually.
• Not be a current beneficiary of any other scholarship or grant.
• Provide a valid identification letter from their host community.

Scholarship Benefits

Selected students will receive:

• ₦200,000 per year to cover tuition and academic expenses, renewable every academic session until graduation, based on academic performance.
