The GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders aim to empower individuals from sub-Saharan Africa to become leaders in global health and strengthen health systems across the continent.
Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition fees, including mandatory field trip fees.
- A tax-free stipend of GBP 22,000 for living expenses during the MSc programme.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be nationals of and residing in a sub-Saharan African country.
- Must plan to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing the MSc programme.
- Applicants must confirm they cannot afford the programme without the scholarship.
- Must meet the minimum English language requirements of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM).
- Must hold a first degree with at least a first-class or upper second-class equivalency.
- Must have received an offer of admission to a London-based MSc programme at LSHTM for the 2025-2026 academic year.
- Preference will be given to applicants with the potential to contribute to public health or health-related research in Africa.
Application Process
Step 1: Apply for a London-based MSc programme for 2025-2026 by following the “How to Apply” instructions on the relevant programme page.
Step 2: After submitting the MSc application, you will receive an email from the scholarships team with a link to the online scholarship portal.
- Log in to the portal, search for “GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders”, and complete the application.

- Application Deadline: 23:59 GMT, 5 March 2025.
- No applications will be accepted after this time.
