FULLY FUNDED Ph.D. SCHOLARSHIP IN MACHINE LEARNING 

PROTON lab (Performance and Research Optimization in Network) at the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering-ASU ECEE, Arizona State University is looking for four Ph.D. students. The school sets out to award a fully Funded PhD scholarship to four individuals as part of its strategies to empower future engineers.

School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering-ASU ECEE is known for its commitment to empowering future engineers with top ranked programs, engaging faculty and innovative learning in electrical, computer, energy and related engineering fields. The headquarters is in Tempe, Arizona.

This scholarship opportunity is for postgraduates who are interested in pursuing a postgraduate study in the field of machine learning. Application is currently opened to interested graduates, as the program is looking to kick start in Spring or Fall of 2025. The program promises a varieties of opportunities as students will work under NSF, DoD and DoE-funded projects in the field of Next Generation Wireless Network and AI. 

For better experience and exposure, students will also be working closely with the Sandia National Laboratories, Army Research Lab, Air Force Research Labs and the Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Research topic areas have been made to include: AI, 6G Network, Internet of Things, Cyber security.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A minimum GPA of 3.5
  • Students should have expertise in 
  • Machine learning and Deep Learning 
  • Optimization
  • C, Python, NS3 or OMNET++, Verilog
  • Hardware security
  • ASIC Synthesis
  • FPGA Design and Test
