Are you a young West African graduate or early-career professional passionate about using technology for social good? The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is offering a fully funded 6-month internship program designed to equip the next generation of leaders with hands-on experience, practical skills, and industry exposure in civil society and technology.

This transformative internship is supported by the Ford Foundation and will take place in Ghana and Nigeria. Interns will enjoy full financial support including flight tickets, accommodation, meals, monthly stipends, and more.

About the WACSI Internship Program

The WACSI Next Generation Internship aims to develop young professionals committed to social transformation through technology. Interns will be fully involved in WACSI operations and gain exposure to leadership, digital tools, knowledge management, and development issues relevant to West Africa.

Selected candidates will be expected to:

• Participate in team projects
• Deliver a practicum report, end-of-internship report, and a technology action plan
• Work full-time at either the Accra or Abuja office, depending on nationality

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or related disciplines
• Show genuine interest in civil society and social impact
• Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Have knowledge of cloud computing, data analysis tools, and digital marketing
• Be proactive and capable of working in diverse cultural environments
