Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour of humankind in order to provide information that would facilitate the understanding and prediction of human actions, feelings and thought process. Psychologists are involved in studying and understanding mental processes, brain functions, and how they influence behaviours. The field of psychology is referred to as “Hub Science” as it has strong connections to the medical sciences, social sciences and education.

A degree programme in Psychology is four years, after which you’re awarded Bachelor of Science (B.Sc).

School Requirement

In UNN, in addition to the minimum entry requirements of the University of Nigeria, candidates for admission into the B.Sc programme are required to have credit in English language as well as general biology, human biology or health science, and at least pass in mathematics or statistics at the Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
