Geology and Mining, regularly regularly referred to as Geo-mining is the branch of science that deals with the study of the Earth’s solid resources such as rocks and other minerals, and the extraction of those valuable resources. Geology and Mining is a combination of two disciplines; Geology, which deals with the study of the Earth’s mineral resources and Mining which deals with the extraction of these minerals from the earth.
Geology equip the students with the skills relevant to the ever increasing Earth Resources Industry and ancillary services.
In Nigeria, Geology and Mining is a four year programme. At the end of the four years of study, you’re awarded a Bachelor of Science, B.sc. certificate.
