Architecture as a professional degree program provides students with knowledge and skills for planning and designing, in urban and rural areas. It is also the art and science of building design, including the method of construction.
Architecture is a four-year programme leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Architecture.

School Requirements
Candidates for admission into Architecture should possess at least five credit passes in their core or prerequisites (including Mathematics and English Language).
In UNN, a candidate must have 5 credit passes at O-Level or its equivalent in Mathematics, English Language, Physics and any other two subjects. Such a candidate will commence at 100-leveel of the programme after obtaining acceptable score in the UME.
In Federal University of Technology, Akure the entry requirement is 5 O’level credits at not more than two sittings in SSCE, WASSCE, NECO in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two subjects from the following: Economics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing, Fine Art and Geography.
Some of the renowned institutions for studying architecture include the University of Lagos, Ahmadu Bello University, Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria, and Federal University of Technology, Akure. These universities have well-established architecture departments with experienced faculty and adequate resources.
