In West African Examination Council (WAEC) , candidates are required to sit for certain subjects depending on their departmental considerations and requirements.
For science students, there are 5 compulsory subjects that must be registered which includes:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics
- Civic education
- A chosen trade/Vocational Subject.
The WAEC subject combination requirement for computer science admission consideration in most Nigerian universities includes Mathematics, English language, Physics and any other two from ( chemistry, biology, further mathematics, geography and statistics)
