In 2022, Opeyemi was forced to flee Ukraine due to the escalating conflict, joining many other refugees who sought refuge in neighboring countries like Romania. Despite the disruption to her medical studies, she refused to let the war derail her future. With incredible resilience, she managed to resume her education and complete her medical degree, earning her license in 2024.
