The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) invites students to apply for a change of degree programme for the 2024/2025 academic session. This guide provides detailed information on eligibility, available vacancies, and application procedures.
Guidelines for the Application
- Applications are accepted at the end of each session and must be processed within one month of the new session’s commencement.
- Eligibility: Students must have a minimum GPA of 1.00, although individual departments may require higher GPAs.
- Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Office, which confirms eligibility and processes requests.
- Required documents include:
- A printout of the change of degree application form.
- A copy of the O-Level result.
- A valid WAEC/NECO scratch card for result verification.
- Applications are processed in batches between the Admissions Office and faculties, with no student involvement.
- Only completed applications will be registered in the new department.

Application Procedure
- Visit the UNN website or portal.
- Log in with your registration number to generate a payment invoice.
- Pay ₦150,000 at any bank using the e-transact system, ensuring the invoice number is correctly entered.
- Collect a confirmation slip containing your confirmation and invoice numbers.
- Return to the portal, log in, and complete the Change of Degree Form using the confirmation and invoice numbers.

- Start Date: Monday, 13 January 2025
- End Date: Friday, 14 February 2025
Additional Notes
- Late registration or incomplete applications will not be processed.
- Unauthorised payments will render the application invalid.
