The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has outlined the registration process for newly admitted undergraduate students. Registration begins on 16th December 2024 and ends on 11th January 2025.
Pre-Registration Steps
1. Check Admission Status
- Visit the UNIJOS Admission Status Portal.
- Select “Students’ Portal” and click “Check Admission”.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Started”.
- Print the registration procedure for reference.
- Accept the new course on JAMB CAPS if applicable.
- Upload SSCE results on the JAMB portal if not already done.
2. Pay Pre-Registration Fees
- Log in to the UNIJOS Students’ Portal using your Post-UTME credentials.
- Navigate to “Fee Management” and select “Acceptance (Pre-Registration)”.
- Complete the payment process.
3. Fill Bio-Data Information
- Log in to the portal and select “Add/Edit Bio-Data” under “My Profile”.
- Print five copies of the completed Bio-Data form.
Registration Process
1. Clearance with Senate Affairs
Visit your faculty’s registration centre with:
- Original and photocopies of credentials.
- Five copies of the Bio-Data form.
- JAMB registration slip.
- Birth certificate or age declaration.
- Indigene certificate or Federal High Court affidavit.
- WAEC/NECO/NABTEB scratch cards.
- Affidavit of good conduct and non-membership in secret cults.
2. Payment of School Charges
- Log in to the portal and select “Pay School Charges” under “Fee Management”.
- Payments through bank branches may take 24 hours to reflect.
- Once updated, you will receive your matriculation number and university email.
3. Register for Courses
- Visit the Portal.
- Log in and select “Course Registration”.
- Choose your courses and print the form.
- Obtain your level coordinator’s signature for approval.
4. Departmental and Faculty Registration
- Submit clearance documents, course registration forms, and school charges receipts to your department.
- Have all documents verified and stamped.
Other Key Processes
Hostel Accommodation
- Hostel allocation begins after school charges payment.
- Visit the Directorate of Students’ Affairs with your receipt.
- Pay the hostel fee on the portal to confirm booking and reserve a room.
Library Registration
- Complete library registration online and print five copies.
- Submit the forms at the Bauchi Road Campus.
University Health Services
- Log in to the Students’ Medical Dashboard with your university email.
- Pay medical charges, fill out the health form, and upload your blood group.
Forgotten or Invalid Email
- Use “Forgot Password” on the login page for a reset.
- For issues, visit the ICT help desk at Bauchi Road Campus.
Payment Methods
- Payments can be made online using MasterCard or Visa.
- Alternatively, initiate payments on the portal before completing them at bank branches.
