UNILAG Registration and Screening

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has commenced the registration and screening process for newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session. The exercise will take place in two phases:

  • Phase 1: Monday, 2nd December 2024 – Friday, 20th December 2024
  • Phase 2: Monday, 6th January 2025 – Friday, 24th January 2025

Admitted candidates must follow the detailed steps below to complete their registration.

Stage 1: Booking a Registration Appointment

  1. Visit the UNILAG Student Portal.
  2. Login Credentials: Use your JAMB Number or Application Number as your username, and your surname in lowercase as your password.
  3. Change the default password upon logging in.
  4. Click on “Appointment” in the menu bar, then select “New Appointment.”
  5. Choose the appropriate appointment option for your faculty.
  6. Pick a date and session for the appointment.
  7. Print the appointment slip.

Note: The appointment slip is required at the registration venue.

Stage 2: Uploading Required Documents

Before attending the screening, upload the following documents:

  1. Log in to the student portal and fill out the bio-data form.
  2. Print the screening form.
  3. Upload scanned copies of these original documents:
    • JAMB Admission Letter
    • O’Level Result
    • Testimonial from secondary school
    • Birth Certificate
    • State of Origin Certificate
    • Letter of reference addressed to the Registrar
    • Previous degree certificate (Direct Entry candidates only)

Stage 3: Screening Process

Attend your scheduled screening session and submit two copies of these documents:

  • Screening form
  • UNILAG online application form (Direct Entry only)
  • JAMB acknowledgment slip (Direct Entry only)
  • JAMB admission letter
  • UTME result slip (UTME candidates only)
  • Post-UTME result slip
  • Relevant certificates: JUPEB, A-Level, OND, HND, or BSc (Direct Entry candidates only)
  • O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO; online printouts are not accepted)
  • Letter of reference on official letterhead (with NBA seal for lawyers)
  • Birth certificate
  • State of Origin Certificate (matching the one used for JAMB registration)
  • Twelve passport photographs with full names written at the back

Candidates must present the original copies of all documents for verification.

Stage 4: Payment of Fees

  1. Wait 24 hours after screening to generate a payment advice.
  2. Make payment at any bank using the generated payment advice.

Stage 5: Faculty and Departmental Registration

Complete the registration process by visiting your faculty and department.

Important Notices

  • Impersonation: Any act of impersonation will lead to forfeiture of admission and possible legal action.
  • Drug Tests: All newly admitted students must undergo mandatory drug tests. A positive result or refusal to take the test will result in admission withdrawal.

Details on matriculation and orientation will be announced by the university in due course.
