The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has commenced the registration and screening process for newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session. This guide provides detailed steps to complete your registration successfully.

Due to the 55th Convocation Ceremonies, the registration schedule for second-batch candidates has been revised as follows:
- Phase 1: Monday, 6 January – Friday, 10 January 2025
- Phase 2: Monday, 20 January – Friday, 31 January 2025
Newly admitted students are advised to complete their registration during these periods.
UNILAG Registration & Screening Procedure
The exercise is scheduled in two main phases:
- First Phase: Monday, 2 December – Friday, 20 December 2024
- Second Phase: Monday, 6 January – Friday, 31 January 2025
Follow the outlined steps for a smooth process.
Stage 1: Booking a Registration Appointment
- Visit the UNILAG Student Portal.
- Log in with your JAMB Number/Application Number as the username and your surname (lowercase) as the password.
- Change the default password upon logging in.
- Navigate to “Appointment” on the menu bar.
- Select “New Appointment” and choose your faculty.
- Pick a date and session for your appointment.
- Print the appointment slip and present it at the registration venue.
Stage 2: Uploading Required Documents
- Log in to the student portal and complete the bio-data form.
- Upload original copies of the following:
- JAMB Admission Letter
- O’Level Result
- Testimonial from secondary school
- Previous Degree Certificate (for Direct Entry)
- Birth Certificate
- Reference Letter addressed to the Registrar
- State of Origin Certificate
- Print the completed screening form.
Stage 3: Screening
- Attend the screening at your scheduled time.
- Submit two copies of the following:
- Screening form and application form
- JAMB acknowledgment slip (Direct Entry only)
- Admission and UTME result slips
- Post-UTME result slip
- A-Level, JUPEB, OND, HND, or BSc result slip (Direct Entry only)
- O’Level certificate (WAEC or NECO)
- Birth certificate
- State of Origin Certificate
- 12 passport photographs with your full name on the back
- Present originals of all credentials for verification.
Stage 4: Payment of Fees
- Generate a payment advice slip 24 hours after completing Stage 3.
- Make payments at any bank using the generated slip.
Stage 5: Faculty and Departmental Registration
Visit your faculty and department to finalize registration.
Important Notices
- Impersonation will lead to admission forfeiture and possible legal action.
- Drug Test: The university mandates drug tests for all admitted students. Those who fail or skip the test will have their admission withdrawn.
- Matriculation and orientation dates will be announced later.
