The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has announced the change of course process for the 2024/2025 academic session. This initiative allows candidates who applied for oversubscribed courses to switch to programmes with available spaces.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Open to candidates who registered for UNIABUJA’s post-UTME screening.
• Candidates must complete the change of course on both the JAMB portal and the UNIABUJA portal.
• O’Level results must be re-uploaded to the JAMB portal and refreshed at a certified CBT centre.
• Confirm the subject combination for the new course before proceeding with the change.

• Commencement Date: Tuesday, 10 December 2024
• Deadline: Monday, 16 December 2024

Medicine, Nursing, and Related Fields

• From: Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Medical Lab Science, Biochemistry
• To: Agriculture, Botany, Zoology, Biology, Chemistry, Geology and Mining

Computer Science

• From: Computer Science
• To: Statistics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Industrial Design, Building, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Physics, Urban and Regional Planning, Mathematics Education, Environmental Science Education, Physics Education, Chemistry Education

Law, English, and Journalism

• From: Law, English, Journalism and Media Studies
• To: History, Broadcasting, Development & Communication Studies, Strategic Communication, Advertising, Public Relations (Literature credit required), Philosophy, Guidance and Counselling Education, Library and Information Science, Social Studies Education, Primary Education Studies

Engineering

• From: Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• To: Railway Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Building, Industrial Design

Architecture

• From: Architecture
• To: Quantity Surveying, Surveying and Geoinformatics, Building, Industrial Design

Economics, Accounting, and Business Administration

• From: Economics, Accounting, Business Administration
• To: Estate Management (Biology credit required for Economics applicants), Urban and Regional Planning, Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Hospitality Management
