The official letter confirming her appointment was issued by the Gambian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology and delivered to the Nigerian High Commission in The Gambia on September 17, 2024.

Prof. Surajudeen-Bakinde is an accomplished academic with a Bachelor’s degree (1997) and Master’s degree (2004) from UNILORIN, followed by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Liverpool, UK, completed in 2010. Her extensive experience includes roles as an examiner for the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and as the Assistant Director of Administration at UNILORIN’s Centre for International Education.

With a focus on telecommunications, Prof. Surajudeen-Bakinde has published over 70 research papers and book chapters, with research interests spanning Ultra-Wideband Technology, Channel Equalisation, Internet of Things, and Sustainable Energy Diversity. Salman Appointed Pioneer Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University of Education

Prof. Medinat Folorunso Salman, known for her leadership in Mathematics Education, has been named the Acting Vice Chancellor of the newly established Kwara State University of Education (KWASUED) in Ilorin. Her appointment was announced on September 24, 2024, by the Kwara State Government.
