Eligibility Criteria for YSU Post UTME 2024/2025
To qualify for the YSU Post UTME screening, candidates must:
- Have a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Score a minimum of 180 in the 2024/2025 UTME.
- Be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.
- Ensure their O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS.
- Candidates who did not initially select Yobe State University as their preferred institution must apply for a change of institution through JAMB before applying.
- Awaiting O’Level results candidates are not eligible to apply.

- Go to the YSU Student Management Information System (SMIS) portal at https://ysu.edu.ng/smis/putme21/.
- Login and Complete Registration:
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to log in.
- Fill in the required personal and academic details correctly.
- Pay the Application Fee:
- Generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code and proceed with the payment via Remita.
- Payment can be made via bank deposit, online banking, or debit card.
- Upload Required Documents:
- O’Level results
- JAMB result slip
- Recent passport photograph
- Submit and Print Confirmation Slip:
- After completing the form, submit it and print the acknowledgment slip for reference.

- Log into the YSU Portal:
- Visit https://ysu.edu.ng/smis/putme21/
- Enter your JAMB Number and RRR Code.
- Generate Payment Invoice:
- Select “Acceptance Fee” and generate an RRR code.
- Make Payment via Remita:
- Visit https://www.remita.net/
- Enter the RRR code and complete the payment.
- Confirm Payment:
- Log back into the YSU SMIS portal and verify the payment.
- Proceed with other admission formalities.
