These approvals followed thorough resource verification visits by the NUC, ensuring the university’s readiness to offer these programmes.
Support and Gratitude
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shedrack Gaya Best, expressed gratitude to the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, for his unwavering support. He also commended regulatory bodies for their contributions to this achievement, which aligns with the university’s vision for academic excellence.
Commitment to Staff Welfare
Addressing staff welfare, Professor Best acknowledged delays in implementing the new minimum wage due to the university’s unique status outside the civil service framework. However, he assured staff of ongoing negotiations with state officials to resolve these issues and enhance their welfare.
Resumption and Security Updates
The university is set to resume academic activities following the holiday break. To enhance campus safety, PLASU has introduced ID cards and approved hostel accommodations for eligible students. These measures aim to create a secure and conducive learning environment.
PLASU continues to advance its mission of delivering top-tier education while fostering a safe and supportive campus for its growing academic community.
