The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has announced the induction ceremony for foreign-trained medical and dental graduates who successfully passed the September 2024 MDCN Assessment Examination. Scheduled for Thursday, 28th November 2024, this induction marks a key professional milestone. Here’s a full guide on how to register and prepare for this important event.


MDCN Induction Ceremony Details

  • Date: Thursday, 28th November 2024
  • Time: 9:00 AM
  • Venue: The Auditorium, MDCN House, Plot 1102, Cadastral Zone B11, behind Prince and Princess Housing Estate, Kaura District, Abuja

Step 1: Confirming Your Folio Number

Prospective inductees should check the email provided during exam registration for their assigned Folio Number. If there’s uncertainty regarding the Folio Number, email provisionalregistration@mdcn.gov.ng for assistance.


Step 2: Registering on the MDCN Portal

With your Folio Number, follow these steps to register on the MDCN portal:

  1. Visit the MDCN Portal.
  2. Click the Doctor Access button.
  3. Select Create New Account under the login form or click Register at the top right.
  4. Click the button under New Doctor Account.
  5. Complete the Registration Form.
  6. Submit the form by clicking Create Account.

After submitting, you’ll receive an email with login details. Note that account activation will occur after receiving a signup approval email from MDCN, typically within 48 business hours.


Step 3: Completing Registration and Payments

Once your account is active, log in to update your records and complete the required payments.

  • Provisional Registration Type: Select Foreign Provisional Registration.
  • Registration Fee: ₦230,000.00
  • Insurance Indemnity: ₦15,000.00

Important: The registration deadline is Friday, 22nd November 2024. Only those who complete all registration steps by this date will be eligible for induction.
