The Mauritius – Africa Scholarship Scheme offers Nigerian students the opportunity to study in Mauritius with full financial support from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.
This scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants for the 2025 academic year.
Application Procedures
- Application Form: Applicants must fill out the online form available on the official websites and print it after completion.
- Required Documents:
- Conditional offer or admission letter from a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Mauritius.
- Acknowledgment notice of the admission application and payment of necessary fees.
- Submission: All applications and documents must be submitted to the Federal Scholarship Board in Abuja by 20 February 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Applicants must be Nigerian nationals.
- Age:
- Undergraduate applicants: Must be between 18 and 25 years old by 1 January 2026.
- Postgraduate applicants: Must be under 40 years old by 1 January 2026.
- Academic Requirements:
- Undergraduates: Strong WAEC results are required.
- Master’s and PhD applicants: Must have at least a Second Class Upper (2.1).
- Health Certification: A health certificate from a recognized government hospital is mandatory.
Submission Deadline
- All applications and documents must be submitted by 20 February 2025 to the Federal Scholarship Board in Abuja.
