LASU Post UTME/DE 2024: How to Register, Date, Cut-off Mark and Eligibility

Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the Lagos state University 2024 Post UTME Examination, for admission into the 2024/2025 academic session. The online screening exercise is mandatory for candidates seeking to gain admission into Lagos State University through UTME into 100 level or Direct entry.

Eligibility for LASU Post UTME Screening

Who is eligible to apply for this screening? you are eligible to apply for the LASU 2024 PUTME Screening if you are one or more of the following.

2.0 Eligibility for Screening

Chosen LASU as First Choice in UTME
- If you picked Lagos State University as your top choice in the 2024 UTME and scored at least 195, you can join the Online Admission Screening.
- You also need to be at least 16 years old by October 1st, 2024.
Pre Degree Studies (PDS) Students
- If you completed Pre Degree Studies at LASU and scored 195 or more in the 2024 UTME, you can apply for the Online Admission Screening.
- You must have chosen LASU as your First Choice in UTME.
Direct Entry Candidates
- If you’re applying through Direct Entry (including LASU Foundation JUPEB), you must have picked LASU as your First Choice in JAMB’s Direct Entry form.
- Only LASU Diploma is accepted for Direct Entry, except for NCE applicants to the Faculty of Education programs.
Candidates of Lagos State Origin
- If you’re from Lagos State and proved your indigeneship through the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC), your status will be automatically validated for the Online Admission Screening.

A. 2024/2025 LASU Post-UTME Online Payment Registration Procedure

Visit the LASU Website:

Go to http://www.lasu.edu.ng.

Navigate to New Applicants:

Point to “Student” and click on “New Applicants”.

Select UTME/DE Screening:

Click on the “UTME/DE Screening” option (you’ll be redirected to https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening).

Login as a UTME Candidate:

Click on “UTME Candidate Login”.
Enter your UTME Registration Number and your Surname, then click “Submit”.

Make Payment:

Click the “Make Payment (Admission Screening)” button.
On the Payment Page:
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Select “Admission Screening Fee” as the Description.
- Select “Ojo” as the Campus.
- Select “Student” as the Category.

Return to Dashboard:

After successful payment, go back to your dashboard.

Start the Admission Screening:

Click “Start Admission Screening”.
Your basic bio-data information will be displayed.
Select either “Regular Student Admission Screening” or “Regular Student with Entrepreneurship Admission Screening” from the “Type of Screening” dropdown menu.

Supply Transaction ID:

Enter the Transaction ID used for payment.

Print Temporary Self-Screening Report:

After completing the application, print a copy of the Temporary Self-Screening Report.
Remember: All screened candidates must log in to their Admission Screening Portal to print their final Self-Screening Report.

Repeat Procedure if Needed:
- If you need to update or correct any records, you can repeat the above procedure. However, you’ll be required to make a payment for any subsequent screening attempts.

B. Online Self-Screening Form for All Candidates

Login After Payment:

Return to https://lasu.edu.ng/admissionscreening after successful payment.
Use your UTME Registration Number and Surname to log in.
Enter your Transaction ID.

Fill in Personal Details:

Carefully fill in your personal details as required.
Save and proceed through each step.

Select Your Course:

Choose your desired course of study.

Upload Required Documents:

Upload your UTME result slip (not more than 30KB in PDF format).
Select the number of O’Level sittings.
Upload your O’Level result slip(s) (not more than 30KB in PDF format).
Input required O’Level details. Note:
You must possess five (5) O’Level credits in subjects relevant to your desired course of study in not more than two (2) sittings (except for Medicine and Dentistry, which require only one sitting).
For Engineering courses using two sittings, you must have six (6) O’Level credits including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, one other Science subject, and any other subject.
Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering requires a Credit in Further Mathematics.
A Credit in English Language is compulsory for admission into all courses at Lagos State University.
Candidates must upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before the closure of the Admission Screening Exercise.
Candidates of Lagos State origin must have proven their claims before the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) to validate their origin before proceeding with the Online Screening. Important:
Any examination taken after July 2024 is not acceptable.

Preview and Certify Details:

Carefully review all details supplied and ensure they are correct.
Tick the “I Certify” button if you agree with all the details as displayed in the preview.
If you don’t agree to the stated terms, you won’t be allowed to continue.

Submit and Download Screening Report:

After submission, you will be redirected to the Screening Homepage.
Enter your UTME Registration Number and click “Download Result” to generate your Screening Report.

C. Online Screening Grading for All Candidates

Screening Basis:

Screening will be based on a Point Grading System, using your UTME Score and SSCE (or equivalent) grades in five (5) best relevant subjects for your chosen course.

Relevant Subjects:

The relevant subjects are listed in the 2024 JAMB brochure, available online at JAMB Website or JAMB Brochure. Grading Points:
A1 = 10 points
A2 (B2) = 9 points
B3, A3 (B3) = 8 points
C4 = 7 points
C5 = 6 points
C6 = 5 points
Total Obtainable = 50%
