The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a critical update that directly affects all 2025 admission seekers: O’Level result verification is now mandatory. Whether you’ve previously uploaded your WAEC/NECO results or are yet to do so, you must pay for JAMB’s verification service and get verified — or forget about gaining admission this year.
What Does This Mean?
Every aspirant—UTME or Direct Entry—must now undergo official O’Level result verification through the JAMB portal. This applies to:
- Candidates who have already uploaded their results
- Candidates yet to upload results
Simply uploading your WAEC or NECO result is no longer enough. Without verification, your result will not be accepted, and you will not be considered for admission into any Nigerian tertiary institution.

Why This Matters
JAMB has made it clear:
✅ No Result Upload = No Admission
✅ No Verification = No Admission
It’s a double-lock system. If you miss either part, your admission process ends before it begins.
This move is designed to curb result manipulation, reduce fraud, and ensure only qualified candidates are admitted.
What You Need to Do as a 2025 Aspirant
- Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre — this process cannot be done on your phone or by third parties.
- Pay the verification fee — the cost will be communicated at the CBT centre.
- Complete the biometric verification and upload your results — whether WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent.
- Confirm that your result has been successfully verified on the JAMB portal.
⚠️ If you ignore this, your admission chances are zero. No school—federal, state, or private—can process your admission without a verified O’Level result on your JAMB profile.
Final Warning to 2025 Aspirants
You’re not exempt because you uploaded early. You’re not safe because you passed all your subjects. Until JAMB confirms your result is verified, you are not qualified for admission.
And just so we’re clear:
- Don’t fall for scams.
- Only do this at an accredited CBT centre.
- This is a compulsory step. Not optional.
