A total of 761,892 candidates have registered for the 2025 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), according to the latest bulletin released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The registration exercise will close on March 8, 2025, while the examination is scheduled to hold from April 25 to May 5, 2025.

Among the registered candidates is a 94-year-old man, Pa Adedapo Idowu, who has taken a remarkable step toward achieving his lifelong dream of obtaining higher education. Prof. Oloyede highlighted that this year’s registration process has been significantly smoother than in previous years, attributing the success to improved technological measures and the commitment of staff. He also commended security personnel for maintaining order at registration centers, ensuring a stress-free experience for candidates.
“This year’s exercise is far better than before. Our success is due to our dedicated staff, who understand that we do not compromise on excellence. I believe they have all performed exceptionally well,” Prof. Oloyede stated.
