The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially launched a new solution for candidates facing issues related to lost SIM cards or needing to update their email address. The newly introduced “Profiled Email” service is now available exclusively at JAMB-accredited CBT Centres across Nigeria.

This development comes as a major relief to candidates who have been locked out of their JAMB profiles due to issues with receiving OTP codes or accessing their CAPS portal.

🔧 What is the JAMB “Profiled Email” Service?

The “Profiled Email” service allows candidates to update or change the email address linked to their JAMB profile if they’ve lost access to their registered phone number or cannot retrieve their JAMB profile via SMS.

This service enables them to:

• Reset their JAMB portal password
• Recover access to their CAPS (Central Admission Processing System)
• Receive important JAMB messages and codes
• Print admission letters and results

📝 How to Use the JAMB Profiled Email Service

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to use the new profiled email process:

🔹 Step 1: Visit a JAMB-Accredited CBT Centre

Ask for the TEMPL 006 Form. Fill it with the following details:

• Your JAMB Registration Number
• The phone number previously linked to your JAMB profile
• Your profile code
• A new email address (Note: This email must never have been used on JAMB before)

After filling the form, you’ll sign a declaration on the form to authorize the change.

🔹 Step 2: Form Submission by CBT Staff

The CBT Centre staff will log in using their official JAMB credentials and upload your completed form to the JAMB portal. This submission is done on your behalf and sent directly to JAMB for processing.

🔹 Step 3: Email Verification

Once JAMB reviews and processes your request, a verification link or code will be sent to your new email address. Check your inbox and follow the instructions to verify the email.

🔹 Step 4: Profile Update Complete

After verification, your JAMB profile will be updated with the new email. You can now:

• Reset your JAMB password
• Retrieve your result or confirmation codes
• Access your CAPS dashboard
• Download admission letters, print results, and complete other online procedures
