The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially activated its Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) portal for the 2024/2025 academic session. This update allows candidates to easily track their admission status and promptly know when they have been offered a place at their chosen institution.
Understanding the JAMB CAPS Admission Portal
Once an admission offer is made through the JAMB CAPS portal, candidates have two choices:
- Accept the Admission: By accepting, you finalize your admission to that institution, and you will no longer be considered by other schools.
- Reject the Admission: If you reject the offer, your application will remain active, allowing other institutions with available slots to consider you.
It’s crucial for candidates to print their admission letter after acceptance, as this document will likely be required during clearance and registration at the institution.
Monitoring your admission status on JAMB CAPS is essential, especially since some schools may not publish their admission lists publicly. For candidates applying to such institutions, JAMB CAPS is the primary way to check for updates.
How to Check Your Admission Status on JAMB CAPS
- Visit the JAMB CAPS Portal: Go to JAMB CAPS e-Facility.
- Log In: Enter your registered email address and password to access your dashboard.
