Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt, has secured approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce 14 new academic programmes. These programmes, scheduled to commence in the 2024/2025 academic session, will operate on a full-time basis at the University’s main campus.

Approval Process and University Readiness
The NUC granted approval following a rigorous resource assessment conducted by experts to evaluate the University’s preparedness. The confirmation was conveyed in a letter dated 11 December 2024, signed by the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girel, on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, Mallam Chris J. Maiyaki.
