The Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) has announced the clearance and screening exercise schedule for all newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. The clearance process commences on Monday, 4th November 2024, and involves essential steps to secure admission status at the university.
Initial Steps: Acceptance and Payment
New students must first confirm their admission status on the FUPRE portal by logging in with their JAMB registration number and Post-UTME password. An acceptance fee of N85,000 (non-refundable) is required, and students are advised to pay this fee within two weeks to prevent forfeiture of admission.
Required Documents for FUPRE Clearance
Each student is expected to present the following documents during the clearance exercise:
- REMITA Payment Print-Out, stamped by the Student Account Officer, as proof of acceptance fee payment
- JAMB Admission Letter (institution’s copy)
- Original JAMB or Direct Entry Result Notification
- Post-UTME Result Notification
- FUPRE Admission Acceptance Letter
- Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
- Birth Certificate or Age Declaration
- Local Government Certificate of Identification
- Two Reference Letters (one from a Clergyman and one from a Public Servant of Grade 12 or higher)
- Sponsorship or Guardian Letter
- Eight passport-size color photographs
- Four color postcard-size photographs
- Scratch cards or PINs for WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB result verification
Steps for the Clearance Process
Once all required documents have been compiled, students should follow these steps for a successful clearance:
- Physical Screening and Clearance: Visit the Admissions Office for document verification and screening.
- Health Screening: Go to the Health Centre with your clearance slip for a mandatory health check.
- Portal Registration: Proceed to the ICT Centre with both clearance and health screening slips for online registration.
- Fee Payment: Complete the process by paying all necessary undergraduate fees and other charges.
Important Notes
- Students should make four copies of each document (Items 1–8) listed above.
- For the Senior Secondary School Certificate (Item 6), five copies are required.
- Strict adherence to all steps and document requirements is essential for the successful completion of the clearance process.
