Ekiti State University (EKSU) has announced revised examination dates for the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic session. This adjustment follows a request from the EKSU Students’ Union Executives and reflects the university’s commitment to supporting its students during challenging times.

Why the Change?

The decision to postpone the exams came after EKSU’s management and the Committee of Deans held a special meeting on October 10, 2024. The Students’ Union had requested a 21-day postponement due to recent flooding caused by heavy rains, which has disrupted the lives of many students. After thorough deliberation, the university granted a one-week extension to provide students with additional time to prepare adequately.

Revised EKSU Exam Schedule

In response to the circumstances, EKSU has rescheduled the exam dates as follows:

  • 300 Level Students: Exams will now start on Monday, October 21, 2024.
  • 100 and 200 Level Students: Exams are set to begin on Monday, October 28, 2024.
  • 400 and 500 Level Students: Exams will commence on Monday, November 25, 2024.

These adjustments ensure all students have ample time to prepare and recover from the recent disruptions. EKSU remains committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes student well-being alongside academic excellence.

Preparing for Exams Amidst New Dates

With this extra preparation time, students are encouraged to revise thoroughly and seek any necessary academic support. EKSU’s updated exam schedule reflects the institution’s dedication to accommodating the needs of its students during unforeseen events.
