Delta State University (DELSU) has announced a new date for the 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony. The event, originally scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 2025, will now hold on Saturday, February 1, 2025. The University regrets any inconvenience caused by this rescheduling.

Matriculation Ceremony Details

Abraka Campus

• Date: Saturday, February 1, 2025
• Time: 9:00 AM
• Venue: Convocation Arena, Site III

Oleh Campus

• Date: Saturday, February 1, 2025
• Time: 11:00 AM
• Venue: 1000-Seating Capacity Lecture Hall, Faculty of Engineering

Gown Collection and Return

• Faculty Officers will distribute matriculation gowns obtained from the Senate Division.
• Matriculating students must collect gowns from their Faculty Officers.
• Gowns must be returned in good condition to the department.

Penalties for Non-Return

• Late return: ₦1,000 per day.
• Non-return or damage: ₦10,000 replacement fee.
• Renting gowns to photographers is prohibited. Violators will face sanctions, and gowns involved in such acts will be confiscated.

Attendance and Guidelines

• Attendance is mandatory for all new students.
• Lateness will not be tolerated.
• Faculty Officers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all instructions.

The University invites all Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, Heads of Department, staff, students, and other members of the University community to participate in the matriculation ceremony.
