Following a thorough evaluation conducted by the NUC earlier this year, Al-Istiqama University has now received the green light to operate fully. The university had been functioning under a provisional licence for three years, during which it was expected to meet specific operational standards set by the NUC. The recent assessment confirmed that the institution has successfully complied with all the necessary guidelines, earning it the full operational status.

The NUC’s decision to grant the full licence followed an inspection visit carried out between June 2nd and June 5th, 2024. During the visit, the NUC aimed to verify that the university had met all the conditions set during the probationary period. In a letter dated October 15th, 2024, the NUC expressed satisfaction with Al-Istiqama University’s compliance and readiness to operate fully.

Confirmation of Full Licence Issuance by NUC

The letter confirming the full licence was signed by Mrs. Lydia T. Imoroa, Acting Director of Inspection and Monitoring, on behalf of the NUC’s Acting Executive Secretary. In the letter, the NUC Management Committee approved the issuance of a full operational licence, allowing the university to continue its functions without any further restrictions.

This achievement highlights the university’s commitment to providing quality education and maintaining high standards of operation in accordance with NUC regulations.
