Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has officially released the 2023/2024 Special Resit Examination schedule. If you’re eligible to participate, be sure to mark the following important dates and requirements.

ABU Resit Examination Timeline

• Registration Period: Monday, 21st October 2024, to Saturday, 26th October 2024.
• Revision Period: Monday, 21st October 2024, to Saturday, 2nd November 2024.
• Examination Dates: Monday, 4th November 2024, to Saturday, 9th November 2024.

This timeline allows students to revise adequately before the examination dates.

Resit Examination Fees

The resit fees are structured as follows:

• Registration Fee: ₦10,000.00
• Course Fee: ₦5,000.00 per course

Make sure to budget appropriately and complete your payments before the registration deadline.

Who is Eligible for the ABU Resit Examination?

The Special Resit Examination is available to students who are in specific situations preventing them from graduating due to pending courses. The following categories of students are eligible:

1. Final Year Students:
   • Students with no more than four (4) outstanding courses.
   • Final-year students whose residency has not expired can decide whether or not to participate in the resit.
2. Veterinary Medicine Students:
   • Students in their 300, 500, and 600 levels within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
3. Medical Sciences Students:
   • 300-level pre-clinical students in the College of Medical Sciences are eligible to sit for the resit.

Important Details for the Resit Examination

• Students participating in the Special Resit Examination can only achieve the minimum passing score for their course.
  • Classified Degrees: Maximum score is 40%.
  • Unclassified Degrees: Maximum score is 50%.
