The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has commenced applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. These programmes include Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees offered across various faculties and departments.

UNIABUJA offers a range of postgraduate programmes, including:

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Master of Science (MSc)

• Master of Arts (MA)

• Master of Education (MEd)

• Master of Engineering (MEng)

• Master of Public Administration (MPA)

• Master of Philosophy (MPhil)

• Master of Law (LLM)

• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Admission Requirements

General Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics, in WASC, NECO, or GCE, obtained in not more than two sittings.

• A Bachelor’s degree with at least a second-class lower division for Master’s programmes.

• A Master’s degree with a minimum weighted average score of 60% (Grade B) for PhD programmes.

• A third-class degree or HND with lower credit for PGD programmes.

Specific Requirements

• MBBS or BDS for the MPH Community Medicine programme.

• Health-related degrees for the MPH Sexual and Reproductive Health programme.

• A 500-word research proposal for PhD candidates.

Application Process

To apply, follow these steps:

1. Visit the UNIABUJA portal.
2. Select “Postgraduate” and enter your details (surname, first name, email, and phone number).
3. Generate an RRR payment code and pay the non-refundable application fee of ₦20,500 through REMITA.
4. Return to the portal to complete the application form after payment.
5. Submit the required documents, including the Transcript Request Form (Form A2), available on the portal.

Transcript Submission

• Send an electronic copy of your transcript to SPGS@uniabuja.edu.ng.

• Forward hard copies to:
  • The Secretary,School of Postgraduate Studies,University of Abuja,P.M.B. 117, Abuja.

Payment Details

The application fee of ₦20,500 is payable via the REMITA platform. Ensure you use the university’s portal for all transactions to maintain proper record-keeping.

Notes

• Attach evidence of processing Form A2 to your application form.

• The deadline for registration is Sunday, March 30, 2025.
