Basic Science and Humanities Programmes
The Basic Studies Programme is tailored for students aiming to strengthen their qualifications in either Science or Humanities:
- Basic Science Subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography.
- Basic Humanities Subjects: English, Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Government, Literature.
Requirements: Candidates must possess five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. Registration for the 2025 UTME is mandatory for admission consideration.
IJMB Programme
The IJMB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) programme is a gateway to Direct Entry admission into Nigerian universities. Available subjects include:
- A’Level Subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, Geography, Government, Sociology.
Requirements: Candidates must have five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings. Registration for the 2025 JAMB Direct Entry is required for admission.
Remedial Programmes
For those needing extra support, the Remedial Programmes offer students a chance to improve their academic standing:
- Remedial Science Subjects: English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography.

Requirements: Candidates need at least three O’Level credit passes obtained in no more than two sittings. Additionally, students must register for the 2025 UTME and pass any deficient subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB before gaining full admission.
How to Apply for KASU Basic, IJMB, and Remedial Admission
Follow these steps to complete your application for the 2024/2025 academic session:
- Visit the KASU Forms Portal.
- Click on “Available Forms” and select your desired programme (Basic, IJMB, or Remedial).
- Complete the online application form.
- Pay the processing fee of ₦5,000 through Interswitch.
- On the review page, select your payment method:
- Choose “Pay with WebPay” for online payments.
- Select “Pay with Bank Branch” to make payment at any bank, preferably FCMB.
- Print the reference page and present it at the bank for payment (if paying via bank).
Note: Candidates offered provisional admission must present original academic credentials during registration.
