The Gombe State University (GSU), Tudun Wada, Gombe, has opened applications for its 2024/2025 postgraduate programmes.

Programmes and Duration

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Minimum of 1 academic session, maximum of 2 sessions.
• Master’s Programmes (M.A/M.Sc/MBA/MPA): Minimum of 2 academic sessions, maximum of 3 sessions (12 months for MBA/MPA).
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): Minimum of 3 academic sessions, maximum of 5 sessions.

Admission Requirements

General Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
• Specific qualifications depend on the chosen programme (details outlined below).

Programme-Specific Requirements

1. Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD)

• Bachelor’s degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit.
• Acceptable professional qualifications as determined by the University Senate.

2. Master’s Programmes (M.A/M.Sc/MBA)

• Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Third Class Bachelor’s degree with PGD in a related field (for some programmes).

3. Doctorate Programmes (PhD)

• A good Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Application Procedure

1. Payment: Pay ₦10,000 via the GSU Remita platform. Submit the payment teller to the Bursary Department to collect a receipt.
2. Form Collection: Proceed to the School of Postgraduate Studies to collect the application form.
3. Submission:
   • Completed forms should be returned to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies, Gombe State University.
   • Transcripts should be sent directly from the awarding institution to GSU via email or postal mail.
