ESUT Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Admission into ESUT’s postgraduate programs depends on the level of study. Below are the academic requirements for each program:
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Requirements
- Five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and two relevant science subjects.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science discipline from a recognized university with at least a pass.
- Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant fields must have a minimum of Upper Credit.
Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) Requirements
ESUT offers two categories of Master’s programs:
- Academic Master’s Programs qualify candidates for higher degrees.
- Professional Master’s Programs are terminal and do not lead to further academic progression.
Academic Master’s Program Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least a Second Class Lower Division (CGPA of 3.0/5.0).
- A Third Class Bachelor’s degree or HND with a PGD (CGPA of 3.0/5.0) may also be considered.
Professional Master’s Program Requirements:
- A minimum of Second Class Lower Division in a relevant field.
- A Third Class Bachelor’s degree or HND, along with a PGD at credit level (CGPA of 3.0/5.0 or 50% on a weighted percentage average).
- Candidates must demonstrate strong intellectual capacity, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Requirements
- Five (5) O’Level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and two other relevant subjects.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least a Second Class Lower Division (CGPA of 3.0/5.0).
- An academic Master’s degree in a relevant field with a CGPA of at least 4.0/5.0.
- The Master’s thesis must have been graded at least 60% (B grade).
- Candidates should demonstrate strong intellectual capacity, maturity, and problem-solving abilities.
How to Apply for ESUT Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

- Go to esut.edu.ng for postgraduate admission details.
- Access the Application Portal:
- Navigate to portal.esut.edu.ng to start your application.
- Generate an Invoice:
- Before filling out the form, generate an invoice for your postgraduate application fee by following the payment instructions on the portal.
- Complete the Online Form:

- Print the Completed Form:
- After submitting the form, download and print a copy for reference.
- Submit to the School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS):
