Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has opened applications for its Basic (IJMB) and Remedial programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. These programmes provide alternative pathways to gain admission into Nigerian universities.
About the Programmes
Basic (IJMB) Programme:
- Prepares students for Direct Entry admission into Nigerian universities.
- Duration: 12 months.
Remedial Programme:
- Designed for students who need additional preparation for university admission.
- Duration: 9 months.
Admission Requirements
IJMB Programme:
- Minimum of five credits (including English and Mathematics) in not more than two sittings.
- Approved subject combinations include:
- Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics
- Physics, Chemistry, Geology
- Chemistry, Geography, Physics
- Geography, Mathematics, Physics
- Chemistry, Geology, Physics
- Admitted candidates must register for JAMB Direct Entry.
Remedial Programme:
- Minimum of three credits in science subjects in one sitting.
- Approved subject combinations include:
- English, Biology, Chemistry, Geography
- English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
- English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Geography
- English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geography
- Candidates must register for UTME, meet the minimum pass mark, and select ABU as their first choice.
How to Apply
- Pay an application fee of ₦10,000.
- Visit the SBRS official site to apply.
- Create an account or log in if you’re a returning user.
- Complete the form with your details, O’Level results, and upload a passport photo.
- Select your preferred programme (IJMB or Remedial).
- Pay online using an ATM card or print a transaction slip to pay at the bank.
- Submit the application before 31 January 2025.
