Liga MX is Mexico's premier professional soccer league, established in 1943. It is the highest level of the Mexican soccer pyramid, featuring 18 teams divided into three groups. • 1991 – 2012: The original logo of the Mexican Primera División featured bold, bright colors inspired by the Mexican flag. The design consisted of a vertical rectangle divided into two halves: green on the left and red on the right. At the center, there was a white figure of a football player holding a soccer ball. The left half represented Mexico's national identity, while the right half featured the inscription "1a div" in white.
• 2013 – Today: The Liga MX logo underwent a significant redesign, embodying the energy and dynamism of soccer. The logo centers around a large letter "X", formed by two ticks rotated 90 degrees in opposite directions. One tick is red, the other green, symbolizing the national colors of Mexico. Surrounding the "X" are metallic ellipsoids that provide a cool greyish background, creating a 3D effect. Below the emblem, the "LIGA MX" wordmark is displayed in lime green and red with a clean, modern sans-serif font, adding contrast to the vibrant logo.
