Logo History
1982 – 2004: The Original Design
The original George Mason Patriots logo, introduced in 1982, had a patriotic and bold design. It featured a five-pointed green star with two yellow ribbons extending to the right. The emblem was paired with "George Mason" written in a classy serif font, also in green, set beneath the graphic. The bright green and yellow color palette reinforced the team’s vibrant and energetic spirit.
2005 – Present: Modern Update
In 2005, the logo was updated, keeping the star motif but giving it a more dynamic and modern look. The star was now black and yellow, with added depth and a tail extending behind it. The design placed greater emphasis on the word "Mason," reflecting a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic while preserving the patriotic theme of the original logo.
